CTMH Team Blog Hop - September Stamp of the Month

The Pineapple Paper Artists are highlighting September's Stamp of the Month, Family is Forever, in great new blog hop.  Whether you are just beginning your journey or you came here from Harriet's Butterfly Kisses, I hope you will continue on until you are inspired by everyone's artwork.

I couldn't decide which orientation I liked better for this card, horizontal or vertical, so I tried both!

Color Dare #108: Flaxen, Juniper & Sorbet

Welcome to the weekly Color Dare Challenge from Color My Heart.  Each Friday the design team announces a color palette for you to use to create your project.  You can create any type of project you'd like, as long as you use the chosen colors.

Color Dare #108: Flaxen, Juniper & Sorbet

This week I searched through my Cricut collections to find a fun 3D project.  I'm not sure what I'm going to put in the box, maybe a little gift or a few chocolates, but when I find the perfect filling, I'm hoping it will brighten someone's day!
How will this week's color combination inspire you?   Visit Color My Heart for more information about the challenge, get inspired by the design team, and upload your project.  I hope you'll join the Color Dare!

Another Chance for the Magic 48 Album Workshop

It's not too late to make your own Magic 48 Album!  I'm running a make-up session of the first workshop on Friday, August 29th at 2:00 p.m.  Then you can finish it up on Saturday, August 30th at 1:00 p.m.  Let me know if you'd like to attend!

Still can't make those dates?  Click here to buy the tutorial!

Session #1:  Friday, August 29th - 2:00 p.m. - $15
Session #2:  Saturday, August 30th - 1:00 p.m. - $15
Both sessions are required to complete the project.

This fun, interactive album contains six pages that flip, fold, and pull out to reveal space for 48 4x6 photographs, or many more smaller sized images, plus room for journaling.

If you're not a photographer, consider using the album for artwork, postcards, greeting cards, favorite quotes, or scriptures.  The possibilities are endless!

I made my sample using Christmas paper, but in this workshop, you'll be able to use any paper collection I currently have in inventory.  That means you can choose your favorite color or theme!  Contact me for a current list.

First YouTube Video!

I'm excited to announce that I've just published my first video on YouTube!  The video shows off my Magic 48 Album.  Photos just don't do this kind of interactive album justice, so check out the video for a better look.  Please feel free to go to my YouTube channel and leave lots of positive comments!  Comments will help my video gain more visibility, so I appreciate your help.

Once you view the video and decide you'd like to make one of these great albums for yourself, you can purchase the tutorial at my Etsy shop, G. Eileen Studios.

Thanks so much for your support!

Another Pendant Party - August 15th @ 7pm

We had such a great time at last month's Pendant Party, I've decided to extend the fun!  If you couldn't make it last month, or want to come by again, make sure to clear your calendars.  It's going to be another great night!  You'll definitely want to check out the beautiful new pendant shapes and images.

Friday, August 15th
7 p.m.
Gretchen's House (contact me for directions)

Come on by to learn how to make your own custom pendant.  I promise you, it is EASY!  Crafting experience is not needed, and it's a great project for all ages.  Everyone will go home with a decorative centerpiece.  It will be your choice as whether or not you would like to make a full pendant for a small materials cost.

If you choose not to make a pendant, you can enjoy the wine, desserts, conversation and an evening with friends.  Bring your friends and daughters.

Please let me know if you are able to attend so I can have enough supplies and refreshments for all.

Hope to see you there!

If you can't make it on the 15th, but are interested in making your own pendant, let me know so we can schedule a time to get together.

Color Dare #104: Ruby, Honey & Lagoon

Welcome to the weekly Color Dare Challenge from Color My Heart.  Each Friday the design team announces a color palette for you to use to create your project.  You can create any type of project you'd like, as long as you use the chosen colors.  If you don't have the actual Close To My Heart colors, just use a similar substitute!

Color Dare #104:  Ruby, Honey & Lagoon

This week's bold color combo, a twist on the standard primary colors, inspired me to make a quick and easy card with lots of white space.  I think the white backdrop allows the colors to really shine!
  • I punched a strip of Black (1386) cardstock, glued it over a strip of Honey cardstock, and attached the combined unit onto a White Daisy (1385) card.
  • I added Sparkles to the middle of the punched medallions.
  • I wrapped a piece of Lagoon Baker's Twine around the card, securing it with a knot.
  • I added length of Lagoon Houndstooth Washi Tape (Z1850), ripped at one edge.
  • From the Artiste Cricut cartridge (Z1790), I cut a Ruby (C5927) heart, which I attached to the card with dimensional tape.
  • I stamped the sentiment, from the Mad About You (S1112) stamp set, in Black (Z2105) ink.
