Color Dare #84 - Sky, Topiary, & Sweet Leaf

As a quilting friend of mine likes to say, blue & green are our 'happy' colors.   Both colors soothe my soul and I find the combination very calming.  I use them quite often in my artwork and never have trouble creating with them, it's just a question of what I would like to create today!
  • Using large Post-it notes, I masked off a rectangle on White Daisy cardstock.  To the exposed area, I added circles of Sky, Topiary and Sweet Leaf ink with sponge daubers, careful to fill the entire rectangle with color.
  • I created another scrap of colored cardstock from which to punch flowers.
  • All images were stamped in Black ink.
    • Dressmaker's torso and sentiment -  Find Your Style (D1452)
    • Butterfly - Delight (C1452)
    • Border - Miracle WOTG Stamp Set

  1. Beautiful card, Gretchen! I love how you divided the card up into unequal thirds and have different design details in each one. I love the sponge dauber background you created for the dress frame and how the ribbon complements these colors so well.

  2. Really like how you created the background. Great way to use a blend of colors. And I love the dress form stamp image.

  3. I love that you created your own patterned paper. I think I am hoarding a bit of that same ribbon you used. :)
