Color Dare #96: Crème Brulee, Crystal Blue, Juniper, Sky, Sorbet
One of my favorite coloring techniques is to use my ink pads as watercolor paints. Just squeeze your pad together while it's closed. Open the pad and you'll have some ink on the inside of your cover. Pick up the ink with your wet brush and paint away!
- I scored and folded 6" x 12" piece of Sky (X5761) cardstock to create a square card.
- I added a strip of Crème Brulee (X5754) cardstock and and skinny strip of Sky and Cocoa paper from the Ariana paper pack (X7179B).
- I stamped the balloon from Give a Live (D1581) in Archival Black ink on White Daisy (1385) cardstock.
- I painted the image with Crème Brulee (Z2167), Crystal Blue (Z2117), Juniper (Z2165), Sky (Z2194), and Sorbet (Z2164) inks.
- I layered the panel on Sorbet (X5751) cardstock, then another piece of White Daisy (1385), and then attached it to the card.
- I punched three flowers from White Daisy (1385) and Sorbet (X5751) cardstock. I curled the petals of the Sorbet flowers backwards with my Quilling Tool (Z1795), then glued the layers together and to the card.
- I added Sparkles to the middle of each flower and the center of the medallion on the balloon.
- I cut all corners with my cloud-shaped corner chomper.
So pretty! I love the way you colored the balloon. I've not tried that technique.......but I'm sooo inspired! TFS!
