Color Dare #117 - Choose Your Own Orange ... Sunset
This week's challenge was to pick my own orange. I choose Sunset to create this cute Halloween card.
- I cut the cat shadow pocket card from Sunset (X5758) cardstock using the new Artfully Sent Cricut Collection (Z3017) and layered it onto a Black (1386) card.
- I stamped the diamond argyle from the All Hallow's Eve (C1462) stamp set in Black (Z2105) ink.
- I attached three strips of Silver Shimmer Trim (Z1799), cut on an angle, to create a wide banner.
- I cut "Spooky" from Black (1386) cardstock using the Artiste Cricut Collection (X1790) and glued it on top of the silver banner.
- A couple of Bitty Sparkles (Z1263) work as the cat's eyes.
What a spooktacular card! I love the splash of glitter.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Donna. You know I love the glitz! :)
DeleteI love how you expanded the silver shimmer trim by placing three strips together! I also love the cat cutout and argyle stamping. Great card, Gretchen!

Thanks, Marie. It was definitely a fun card to put together!
DeleteWhat a great card! I love the argyle pattern, the cut-out cat and the wide shimmer trim banner. Ok, I guess I just like it all!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle, you know you have a hit when someone can't picks what part they like best! :)
DeleteFun spooky card! What a great idea to make the shimmer trim thicker just by adding more strips!
ReplyDeleteThanks Catherine, sometimes you need even MORE glitz!
