Color Dare #109 - Pear, Crystal Blue, Lagoon, Pacifica, Thistle, Canary
This week's color combination was taken from the new Confetti Wishes Paper Packet. It's a fun collection, but I decided to see what I could create using solids and inks instead of the decorative paper designs.
- I used the Just For You (B1398) stamp set.
- I stamped the flower outline in Pacifica (Z2192) ink on White Daisy (1385) cardstock.
- I stamped the petals in Canary (Z2643), Crystal Blue (Z2117), and Lagoon (Z2195) inks.
- I stamped the leaves in Pear (Z2197) ink and the sentiment in Thistle (Z2640) ink.
- I cut the butterfly from a piece of Thistle (X5769) cardstock using the Artiste Cricut Collection (Z1790).
- I layered the stamped panel onto a Pacifica (X5759) panel and a Lagoon (x5762) card, adding strips of Pear (X5764) cardstock for accent.
- I punched a 1/4" circle out of Thistle (X5769) cardstock and glued it to the center of the flower.
- I finished up with some Bitty Sparkles (Z1263) on the petals and butterfly.

Very whimsical, Gretchen! I almost used that stamp set on my card! Great job.

Thanks! I added those stripes in when I decided the card needed a little something extra. Glad you agree they work!
DeleteSaw this beautiful card on the Color My Heart blog and had to come and comment. I have this stamp set too and used it tons when it came out, but haven't used it recently, so it's nice to see it again! I may just have to get it out :)
ReplyDeleteYou definitely do. It's such a great set!
DeleteSuch an unexpected card layout! Super job with a non-traditional tilt on things! ;)
