Color Dare #43 - Outdoor Denim, Honey, & Cranberry

This week's challenge colors were Outdoor Denim, Honey, & Cranberry.  Initially it made me think of creating a patriotic theme.  Then I was playing with some cardinals.  But ultimately, I decided on this combination...

I used tissues to ink the stamp with the three different colors.

  5. Julia, tissue stamping is really easy. All you have to do is wad up a tissue, pounce it on your ink pad to absorb some of the color, then transfer it on to your stamp. I always work light to dark, and will often ink the entire image with the lightest color (in this case, Honey), the use the tissues to add the darker colors. Then I am sure to have coverage on the entire image.

Huffing on the stamp to re-moisten the ink before you apply the stamp to your paper helps if it has taken some time to completely ink the image.
